RGSP: are you prepared for the new regulations?

From 13 December 2024, all marketplaces must comply with the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). Any non-compliance will result in the removal of the offers concerned.
Here are a few key steps to follow in order to comply with these regulations:
1. Audit of your product sheets
Make sure that each card includes :
Name and contact details of manufacturer/importer
Unique identifier (EAN)
Safety instructions in local language
2. Compliant labelling
Add the mandatory information directly on the product, its packaging or in an enclosed leaflet.
3. Clear safety instructions
Provide consumer-friendly instructions for use and warnings in the language of the country of sale.
4. CE marking (where applicable)
For products subject to regulations (such as toys or electrical appliances), check that they carry the CE mark.
5. Designation of a person responsible in the EU
If you are importing products, appoint a person or entity capable of guaranteeing their compliance and keeping the necessary documents.

This includes products for which the information submitted is invalid or for which the contract with a service provider acting as a responsible person for non-EU manufacturers has ended.
Most of the non-food consumer products are concerned, including second-hand, repaired and reconditioned products. There are exceptions, these include medicines, food and drink, and plant protection products.
We invite you to check the conformity of your products, submit the necessary documents and label each product correctly before the deadline.
